Just another day at the office playing for a wedding at the Worthing Dome. It is so wonderful having a job that lets you travel around the country meeting amazing people and playing music in beautiful places. The Dome is a beautiful venue which is part Cinema and part wedding venue. The wedding took place in the dome itself which has two levels to it and looks out across the sea and over Worthing Pier.
The Bride requested that she walk down the aisle to Stay Alive by Jose Gonzalez from the film The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, we then accompanied the signing of the register with Ellie Goulding's How Long Will I Love You, Christina Perrys A Thousand Years and Coldplays the Scientist. After some beautiful reading we then played them out to the Beatles All You Need is Love, lovely! The groom commented after the ceremony that he didn't actually like the original song but after hearing our youtube recording of it he decided that they had to walk out to it!
After the ceremony they had a short drinks and canapé reception where we played some of our pop favourites. Definitely one of my favourite weddings this year, the best bit was the grooms and ushers bright yellow flip-flops! Love it!
Congratulations guys!
Another one tomorrow at the Brighton Hilton, can't wait!
