Well it has been an interesting run up to Christmas.
But we have managed to fit skiing, shopping, being ill and a nine lessons and carols service as well as a little ClassTiche Christmas medley in and now we are settling down in preparation for eating and drinking too much. I can't wait.
The nine lessons and carols was great, wonderful choir as always directed by Dr Tim Williams at St Wulframs Church. Only this time I was singing as well! I think it is probably the first time in about 10 years that I have sung in a choir and the first time ever with such complex and independent parts. I think I did quite well though, despite a horrendous cough and general man-flu coldiness I still managed the top A-flat in O holy night.
I do love choral singing, I don't think musicians in general do enough of it, especially folk musicians, it really does help with training your ear.
Well Merry Christmas from me and see you again in the New Year!
