Definitely off the beaten track this beautiful venue is perhaps one of the hardest to get to we have played in. Our little ford focus barely managed to get down the little overgrown road to Southdown Manor (although we did find out that we had come the back way in!).
Playing outside in a specially set up patio area we played a selection of classical music while guests arrived as well as a special request from the groom, the theme from 'Jurassic Park'. We played the Bride down the aisle to Pachelbel's Canon in D and after a few short but lovely readings we played A Thousand Years by Christina Perri, All Of Me by John Legend and How Long Will I Love You by Ellie Goulding. We played them out to I'm Yours by Jason Mraz.
After a short drinks reception playing some of our favourite adaptations of Pop songs for violin and cello including our new cover of Sia's Cheap Thrills it was time for us to leave and begin our journey back (this time through the slightly less overgrown road!). We didn't want to leave! It was such a lovely atmosphere and such a gorgeous place!
What a magical day, we are truly lucky to be able to visit such amazing places.
